On Friday, 2 October, Chainguard is opening the gates to The Open Source Open: a day of championship golf at The Grove, one of England's most celebrated courses, for a small, hand-picked group of customers, partners, and industry leaders.
Expect eighteen holes on a course built for the game's biggest names, buggies with live scoring, a proper breakfast and lunch, and just enough friendly competition to keep things interesting. It's less about the golf itself and more about the day: good company, real conversation, and a setting that makes both easy.
We're calling it The Open Source Open because, as it turns out, great golf and great security have a lot in common: keeping your dependencies on the fairway and your supply chain out of the rough.

The Grove isn't just any golf club. Carved out of 300 acres of Hertfordshire parkland, once the private estate of the Earls of Clarendon, the course was designed by Kyle Phillips, the architect behind Kingsbarns, and opened in 2003 to immediate acclaim.
Three years later, it made history: The Grove hosted the 2006 WGC-American Express Championship, the only World Golf Championship event ever played in the UK. Tiger Woods won by eight shots, a margin that's become part of the course's own folklore, with a plaque on the 9th marking where he set up three straight eagles. A decade on, the club hosted the 2016 British Masters, won by Alex Noren in front of a field that included Lee Westwood and Graeme McDowell.
It's a 7,152-yard championship test set within a five-star resort just eighteen miles from London: as serious a stage for golf as you'll find anywhere in England, and for one day, it's ours.
